HTC has announced a new smartphone, HTC U23 Pro. This is the first U-series device since the U20 5G launched back in 2020.

HTC U23 Pro is a mid-range smartphone. It is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of FHD + (2400×1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device is based on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 hardware platform. The configuration can include 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal flash memory. There is also a slot for a microSD memory card.

On the back of the HTC U23 Pro smartphone there is a camera module with four modules. The 108-megapixel main module is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle module, a 5-megapixel macro module, and a 2-megapixel scene depth sensor. The front camera in the display cutout received a 32-megapixel sensor.

The capacity of the built-in battery is 4600 mAh. Supports 30W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button on the right side of the case. Also noted is the presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack and protection against water and dust according to the IP67 standard. The device runs Android 13 and includes the HTC VIVERSE app pre-installed for use with the VIVE XR Elite mixed reality headset.

The HTC U23 Pro is now available for pre-order for $550 for the 8GB/256GB configuration and $585 for the 12GB/256GB version. Actual deliveries will start on June 5th. If you pre-order before June 4, you can get $86 wireless headphones as a gift.
